Help with a better Warrior Build
Hello All:
I've been playing Guild Wars since October 2005. My character is a W/E, and I think I've been fairly successful. I'm always looking for ways to improve my build/skills, so I would appreciate any input.
This is what I have:
All Droknar's Platemail Armor:
Helm: 85 Armor; Strength +1; Rune of Minor tactics; Armor +10 vs. physical
Cuirass: 85 Armor; Strength +1; Rune of Minor strength; Armor +10 vs. physical
Gauntlets: 85 Armor; Rune of Major Vigor; Armor +10 vs. physical
Leggings: 85 Armor; Rune of Major Absorption; Armor +10 vs. physical
Boots: 85 Armor; Rune of Minor Swordsmanship; Armor +10 vs. physical
I have 2 runes that I will be using soon:
Rune of Superior Vigor
Rune of Superior Swordsmanship
I'm trying to see if I can farm, get lucky, and find Rune of Superior Absorption (I know; wishful thinking!)
I use about 4 different swords now:
Gold Furious Fellblade of Fortitude:
15-22
dmg 15% when health below 50%
Health +28
Gold Icy Fellblade of Fortitude:
15-22
dmg 18% when hexed
Health +29
Purple Sundering Wingblade of Enchanting
15-22
dmg 11% when health below 50%
Armor Penetration 10%
Enchantments last 10% longer
(I use this when i use Conjure Flame in my build)
Gold Cruel Longsword of Fortitude:
15-22
dmg 15% when health below 50%
Health +27
My build is basicaly:
Res Signet
Endure pain
Warrior's Endurance
For great Justice
Seeking Blade
Pure Strike
Final Thrust
Shield Stance (OK, I've been spending a LOT of time in FOW..lol)
When I'm not in FOW, i take out the stance and final thrust, and use:
Conjure Flame (when I'm using sundering wingblade)
Ward against Melee
or
Conjure frost (with Icy fellblade)
ward against melee
I'd appreciate any suggestions on weapons and build.
Thanks all:
Kern Wolf

Final Thrust is why you use a sword. It's almost powerful enough to be an elite. If it didn't cause adrenaline loss it would be. As it is it's one of the most powerful sword skills you have access to; I wouldn't lose it unless you're tanking. As far as the rest of your build, it's all very situational. if you want like a general purpose build that's one thing, but you need to have a goal in mind when making a build. No one-build will be good everywhere.

Thanks for the input, djfatben:
I have started to use Final thrust, lately, but I also have been swapping out 2-3 skills from my build. You're right: I know that 1 build isn't good everywhere, but normally, I keep the first 4 skills listed, and change the last 4 skills; going with some different sword skills, and maybe stances--I find that my choices may depend on the makeup of the group I'm with. If I'm with a group that has a bond monk, I'll leave enchantments out, and use 3 spots for sword skills, with 1 for a stance. If the group doesn't have a bond, I'll bring either conjure flame or conjure frost, and change my sword.
Any thoughts to add?

Don't you need a fiery sword for conjure flame to work? Are you seeing 2 damage numbers float up, 1 for sword and 1 for fire damage?
Also, it seems like you could use adrenaline more, perhaps add Galrath Slash or some other adrenaline skill?

Thanks, DeanBB:
I don't know why I didn't notice that (then again, this sword was something I just got in fow). I've added a fiery hilt to it: I'll see how that works out tonight.
Thanks!!!
